Product Announcement – Mini BTE and Custom Products

We’re pleased to announce that we’re adding two new products to the Alera® line of hearing aids:

• Mini BTE 67
• Non-Wireless Custom

The Mini BTE 67 is small and discrete with all the capabilities of the ReSound Alera® family including 2.4GHz wireless connectivity options. It also includes two features new to ReSound hearing aids- WindGuard^TM dual microphone wind noise reduction and In-Situ audiometry. In addition, the open platform enables previously programmed Alera® instruments to be upgraded with the WindGuard^TM wind noise protection.

The In-Situ feature enables clinicians and dispensers to perform audiometry using the hearing aid as the transducer to present the stimuli. This has the potential to add convenience and efficiency to the hearing instrument fitting procedure, as the ability to present stimuli using the hearing instrument requires less equipment, less space, and is less time consuming.

The Alera® Non-Wireless Custom products feature all the benefits of Surround Sound by ReSound^TM with natural wind noise protection, directivity and localization.

With these additions to the Alera® family, Alera® now fits 98% of all hearing losses.
