Private Practice Spotlight: Audio Recovery

Congratulations to Audio Recovery in Oklahoma City, a ReSound partner celebrating 30 years in private practice.

Audio RecoveryAudio Recovery was founded on August 8th, 1984, by Dr. Hough, a world-renowned ear surgeon who wanted to better serve and assure quality care for his patients via the fitting of hearing instruments.  In 1986, an Audio Recovery team member was a part of the Hough Ear Institute’s discovery and development of the rare earth magnet still used in Cochlear implants today.  Audio Recovery began with one audiologist and one supporting staff member. Today, the practice has grown to six audiologists and seven supporting staff members, and is still located on the Hough Ear Institute campus in Oklahoma City.

To mark this milestone anniversary, Audio Recovery is giving away 8 sets of ReSound hearing aids – completely free of charge – to 8 individuals nominated and selected by their Facebook community.

Audio Recovery is asking the local community to vote for who they believe should receive the hearing aids on their Facebook page.

“Hearing aids are expensive,” said Chad Jenkins, Audio Recovery. “They’re not covered by health insurance and there are so many people out there in our local community that really need hearing aids, but just can’t afford them.  We want the recipients of these free hearing aids to be both nominated and chosen by our local community.”

Nominations will be accepted between March 15 and May 15 on the Audio Recovery Facebook page.  Winners will be notified by the first week in June.
