When using the Remote Control 2 and Verso hearing instruments are in a Telecoil+Mic program environment, by default both the hearing instrument, and telecoil volume adjustments are simultaneously active. This is indicated in the Remote Control 2 display by the two arrowheads located next to the volume bars.
- When both the hearing instrument and telecoil volume bars
are lit, with arrowheads located next to each, volume control adjustments impact both simultaneously.
- To adjust both the hearing instrument and the telecoil volume simultaneously press the “+” or “-“ key on the Remote Control 2.
The Remote Control 2 also offers individual adjustment of each audio source. This month’s Tech Tip demonstrates how to use the Remote Control 2 to adjust either the hearing instrument or telecoil volume individually.
Adjustment to the Hearing Instrument Volume Only
- To adjust the hearing instrument volume only, press the left
“<” key on the Remote Control 2 keypad once.
- You will now see two arrowheads, “<>” displayed next to the hearing instrument volume bar and the telecoil volume bar will be dimmed.
- Select the “+” or “-“ keys to adjust the hearing instrument volume.
- To return to simultaneous hearing instrument and telecoil volume mode, press the “>” key on the keypad until one arrowhead appreas next to each volume bar in the display, as displayed in top image.
Adjustment to the Telecoil Volume Only
- To adjust the telecoil volume only, press the right “>” key on
the Remote Control 2 keypad once.
- You will now see two arrowheads, “<>” displayed next to the telecoil volume bar and the hearing instrument volume bar will be dimmed.
- Select the “+” or “-“ keys to adjust the telecoil volume.
- To return to simultaneous hearing instrument and telecoil volume mode, press the “<” key on the keypad until one arrowhead appreas next to each volume bar in the display, as displayed in the top image.
