Today’s Students, Technology’s Future

We were excited to hear that Omar Alam, the son of ReSound’s Kamrul Alam, was accepted into Cornell University to study Quantum Physics.  Omar has been very active in his high school robotics team and contacted us to request sponsorship for the 2013 – 2014 season.

The Armstrong High School FIRST Robotics team is designing and building a robot to compete at the regional competition to be held at Mariucci Arena in the spring and hopefully the World Championships in St. Louis. Last year, the team placed 19th out of the 60 teams involved in the regional competition.

ReSound donated $500 to the team and surprised Omar’s father, Kamrul Alam, with a check at a recent ReSound Town Hall.  It’s due to bright students like Omar that technology continues to evolve and we are able to improve the lives of people with hearing loss.
