How do I start streaming?
Turn on the auxilliary audio device connected to ReSound Unite Mini Microphone. Make sure your hearing aids are turned on as well. Streaming may be started in one of two  ways.

  • Press and hold the push button on either hearing aid for about three seconds. This must be done separately on both hearing aids in order to hear streamed audio in both ears. Once the ReSound Unite Mini Microphone has been connected, an audible melody will play in your hearing aids and will be followed by the streamed sound.
  • If you have a ReSound Unite Remote Control (optional), simply press the Unite Streamer button. Doing so will briefly show a search icon in the Remote Control display. Once the hearing aids connect to ReSound Unite Mini Microphone, a short melody will be played in both ears to confirm the presence of streamed audio and a streaming icon will appear in the display.

How do I stop streaming?
Press the push button on either hearing aid. This will cancel streaming on the side pressed.   With the ReSound Unite Remote Control (optional) you just have to press the ‘P- button, located in the center of the keypad. This will return the hearing aids to the last program used. You may also press the Home button to return to your default program 1 settings.

If you are using the telephone with ReSound Unite Phone Clip or Phone-Now™ streaming of ReSound Unite TV Streamer will be temporarily disrupted. When you have ended your phone call, streaming will resume.

If the streamed signal disappears how do I reconnect?
If the streamed signal disappears it can be due to:

  • The hearing aids are out of range of the ReSound Unite Mini Microphone. Try shortening the distance between the hearing aids and the ReSound Unite Mini Microphone. If you get out of this range and return to range within five minutes the hearing aids will reconnect themselves. If you get out of range and don’t return within five minutes you can reconnect on the hearing aids with a long press (3 seconds) on the pushbutton or by pressing the Unite TV button on the Remote Control.
  • The cable connecting the ReSound Unite TV Streamer to the audio source is not inserted completely into the ReSound Unite TV Streamer. Ensure that all cables are plugged in and the plug is in the wall outlet.

    1. Hi Les,
Each ReSound Unite devices comes with a charger and USB cable. They’re included in the packaging for each accessory. Some are tucked away into another box, but always included. You shouldn’t have to buy anything. If you didn’t receive it, perhaps the audiologist kept the original packaging by accident? I would follow up with your audiologist.

      1. Hi Tonya, you can purchase another cord through your hearing care professional, or at a local electronics supplier (make sure to bring the Mini Microphone with so they can best assist you).

The above answer didn’t respond to the question – which I also have.

How many ReSound Unite Mini MICROPHONES can be used with one hearing aid? (If I have 3 mini mics can 3 people talk to me at once???????????)

    1. Only one ReSound Unite Mini Microphone can be used at a time. You can either choose one speaker or place the Mini Microphone in the center of a conference room table or dinner table if you want to pick up more than one speaker’s voice.

    1. Hi Leevj, Thanks for posting on our blog. You can charge your ReSound Unite Mini-Microphone using the USB cord provided with the device and the USB port on your computer as a power source. Please contact our consumer support team at 1-888-735-4327 or consumersupport@gnresound.com if you have additional questions.

  2. I either lost or mislaid the stereo mini-jack adapter which works with the ReSound Unite TV Streamer 2. How can I obtain another one?

    1. Hi John, Thanks for contacting ReSound. Mini-jack adapters can be purchased at a RadioShack or similar store. You could also use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm auxiliary cable. This is the standard headphone size, which means they are readily available at stores like Target or Best Buy. Please contact our consumer support team at 1-888-735-4327 or consumersupport@gnresound.com if you have additional questions.

    1. Hi John, Thank you for contacting us. The battery on the Unite Mini Microphone is not something that you would be able to replace. We encourage you to speak with your hearing care professional and have the Unite Mini Microphone sent in for repair. If you have additional questions, please contact our Consumer Technical Support Team at 888-735-4327 and choose option 1.

  3. One thing I have found that this group may be interested in us that you can pair one device to one ear and one device to another.

A question I have is if the mini mic is connected to a loop, can you connect more than one device to multiple devices for both ears?

    1. Hi Brad,
You can have multiple accessories connected to the hearing aids (up to 3 streaming accessories), but only one can be active at a time. As an example, you would not be able to have two Multi Mics streaming to the same hearing aid at the same time.
