Shanna Groves, Lipreading Mom
Shanna Groves was diagnosed with progressive hearing loss two months after her oldest child was born. She was 27. Her books, Confessions of a Lip Reading Mom and Lip Reader, are both inspired by her experience. She presents workshops on hearing loss awareness and has written for a number of publications and sites, including Hearing Loss Magazine, HealthyHearing.com, and The Kansas City Star.

Geoff currently works for a large hearing aid manufacturer as a Sales Manager. He has a great interest in strategic commercial planning and tactical implementation of those strategies. Jeff Swartz, World of Silence
One morning in April 2012, Jeff woke up and his hearing was gone completely in his left ear and almost gone in his right ear. He had to rely on lip-reading for two months at work and at home. His blog chronicles his experience with sudden hearing loss, ear pain, and hearing recruitment. He says that losing his hearing has given him a new perspective on life and he has seen his family grow closer.

Kristin Slifer Au.D, Hearing Revolution
Kristin graduated with her B.S. from Illinois State University, her M.A. from the University of Illinois and Urbana-Champaign, and her Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University. She worked in private practice for about seven years as a diagnostic and dispensing audiologist before accepting the position as the Director of Clinical Services at Hearing Revolution, where she works with patients and providers to make hearing healthcare affordable and transparent.

Richard Reikowski, Au.D, Hearing Better Ohio
Dr. Reikowski earned his Master’s degree from the University of Akron and completed his Doctorate of Audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2004. He began his career working with Dr. Lippy and the Lippy Group in Warren, Ohio. He is now the Owner and Director of Audiology for his private practices in Akron, Northfield, and Parma Ohio. Dr. Reikowski is the recipient of the 2009 Ohio Academy of Audiology Clinical Excellence Award.
